Juan J. Aleman II

Juan J. Aleman II

Juan Aleman II was born and raised in Texas. He grew up with his mother, step-dad, and two older sisters.

Juan has spent his life pursuing happiness in many forms. As a teenager, Juan found theater and acting became a passion. As an adult, Juan has been an actor, soldier, and writer. "We're All Broken" is Juan's first book and he wrote it as a way of facing the difficult things in life.

The theme is "no matter what you've been through, no one has it perfrect. No one person has it all figured out."

His second book, released February 2025 was a collection of short stories and is the opposite side of the world from a children's book. "Divergent Lives of No Consequence: Short Stories."

Juan and his wife, of 28 years, raised two children and have lived across the Country. As empty nesters, they still have a dog and a cat to keep them company.

We’re All Broken

No one is perfect, and keeping it all together can be hard. But where there is someone with a willingness to look past the parts of us that are broken, we can have a life that makes us truly happy, whether that is as part of a group or accepting our uniqueness and being on our own. We must learn that imperfection is simply a change from what is...

Divergent Lives of No Consequence: Short Stories

This four-story collection is about how many lives interact in the world and how one false step, move, or thought can change everything for us. The exploration of lives is a constant journey, some sad others brilliant. All, though, share one quality: struggle. The struggle to succeed, to find meaning, to find happiness, or to find freedom. What...

"We're All Broken" is a children's book about the realization all children

We're All Broken was my first book. It's a children's book about the realization that no matter who we are, we all feel inadequate from time to time.

The beautiful, perfectly crafted people have the largest facade to fill-- the job of appearing to know it all, be popular, and perfect.

It's as difficult as the children that are made fun of for obesity, poverty, and other reasons that children pick on one another for in youth.

No one is perfect all of the time. No child confident all of the...

Meet the Author Results I've been preparing mentally, this past week, for

I've been preparing mentally, this past week, for the Meet the Author event that occurred yesterday. It went well, a few people came by and bought a few books. I met more people that just spoke about everything from horror movies to books that I like. Still, I felt so positive about being able to feel comfortable speaking to people.

I think in meeting people, over the years I have started to have a very difficult time in speaking to new people. In my past, I could open up a conversation and...

In the brief moments before disaster Have you ever found yourself in a

Have you ever found yourself in a tough situation, one where you knew terrible things were about to happen, but you could do nothing about it? Things become very slow; one becomes very aware of every minute detail.

The smell in the air, the breeze in your face, how hot it was... So much, yet it all takes place in a very brief few moments. I find that falling does that to me everytime. Slowly, I feel that I have lost balance. Even slower, I begin to find myself going to the floor. Over and...
